Nolan grew up on a baseball diamond and a football field. At the age of 14, he was involved in a traumatic injury as a passenger on an ATV that was struck by a F350 pickup truck. The accident caused Nolan’s left leg to be amputated below his knee. The sports that Nolan competes in have changed since the accident but his competitive drive has only increased. Nolan was a four year letterman and two year regional qualifier for the Uvalde High School golf team. He received the Uvalde High School “Fighting Heart Award” as a senior. He was named to the United States High School All American Paralympic team by the USA Olympic Committee. He holds the national junior record in the javelin throw. Nolan is a Crossfit enthusiast and is certified as a Crossfit Level One trainer. He recently finished as runner up in the Agoge Challenge Adaptive RX Crossfit Competition in Dallas. Nolan would like to share the benefits he has received from Whole Body Cryotherapy while training for events. He enjoys the outdoors, hunting, shooting, golf, crossfit and hanging out with Waylon his chocolate lab. He attends Oak Hills Church.
